Description of business

Centre of Advanced Manufacturing Technologies was established in 2000 (as a Centre of Excellence funded by the European Union) in Wrocław University of Technology, Institute of Machine Technologies and Automation. In Poland CAMT is considered a leading research and technology centre. Foreign cooperation, which includes 30 active contacts with European science institutes, is one of the most essential areas of activity.

The personnel and laboratories of the centre have gained a lot of international certificates, e.g. ISO/TÜV, Authorised AutoCAD Training Centre, PROFIBUS Competence Centre, SUN Technologies Centre. CAMT is financed by cooperation with the industry (ABB, ADTranz, BOSCH, de Laval, Sauer Danfoss), national and international projects (Leonardo da Vinci, Eureka, 5FP) and the State Committee for Scientific Research.

CAMT is currently conducting project work in the following four content areas:
• Product development,
• Production organisation and IT systems,
• Manufacture and quality systems,
• Mechatronics and manufacture automation.

Personnel of the centre have issued approximately 50-60 publications yearly and participate in about 20-30 projects for industry. Within the realmof education, CAMT promotes about 40 engineers of every specialisation yearly.

Services offered

CAMT is focused on research, training and the transfer of innovative production technologies. The research includes a complete product development cycle, from the idea and design through the prototype to the plan and production. The transfer of technologies mostly relates to the integration of equipment and programming solutions for industry.
